Sanjay General Store

Sanjay General Store is located in Chawala Tower right at Bapat Chowk. We are very easy to find because we are near the Sindh Medical Store. If you live around here, you’ve probably stopped by for a bottle of water or some snacks. Our store is full of all sorts of things, from soap and shampoo to chips and cold drinks. It’s a busy intersection, so there is always the sound of horns and people talking outside. We stay open late because people often realize they forgot something for dinner at the last minute. The shop is small, so we have to stack things high up on the walls. I spend a lot of time climbing a small ladder to reach the boxes on the top shelves. It’s a family-run place, so you might see my brother or my nephew behind the counter sometimes. We don't have a lot of space for people to hang around, but we usually have a quick chat while we are bagging things up. The Sindh Medical Store next door brings a lot of people our way too. We try to keep a bit of everything so no one leaves disappointed. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the road when they bring our new stock, and the neighbors complain, but that’s just how it is at Bapat Chowk. It is a good, honest shop for the neighborhood and we like being part of the daily routine here.
