Sabir Kirana Store

Sabir Kirana Store is located right on Bhandara Road in the Pardi section of Nagpur. Being on such a main road means it stays quite noisy with all the trucks and cars going past all day long. We have been here for a while, just selling the usual kitchen staples that every house needs. You can find things like different dals, spices in small packets, and some toiletries too. The space inside is a bit tight because we try to fit as much stock as we can on the shelves. It is mostly a one-person job, though sometimes a family member helps out when it gets busy in the evenings. We don't have any fancy computer systems here; we just write things down in a notebook and use a regular scale for weighing out the loose items. The floor is concrete and can get a bit cold in the winter months. People from the nearby houses come in for their monthly groceries or just a single matchbox. It is a straightforward business, really. We spend most of our time organizing the bags of grain or chatting with the delivery guys who bring the supplies from the bigger markets. It is just a regular part of the neighborhood, and we plan to keep it that way, just serving whoever walks through the door with whatever they happen to be looking for that day.
