Rose Pan Palace & General Stores

Our shop, Rose Pan Palace & General Stores, is located at Lal Patthar in the Hansapuri area of Nagpur. We are right across from the Rashedia Girls School, so we see a lot of students and parents throughout the day. It is quite a busy corner here in 440018. We sell pan, of course, but we also keep a lot of general items that people might need in a hurry. You’ll find things like cigarettes, snacks, and basic groceries on our shelves. The Nagpur heat can be really intense, so the cold drink fridge is always running at full speed. I usually sit near the front so I can see who is coming. It’s a small place and it gets a bit cramped when three or four people are inside at once. We’ve been here for a good amount of time and we know most of the people who live in the Hansapuri neighborhood. It is not a fancy store by any means. The paint is peeling a bit in the corners and the counter is worn down from years of use. But it serves the purpose. People stop by for a quick pan or to pick up some detergent on their way home. We stay open late into the evening because that is when a lot of folks are out walking. It’s just a regular shop doing its thing in the middle of a busy city. We don't have a big staff, just us keeping things moving.
