You can find us at Shop No. 49. We are in the Chillies Merchant section of the APMC Kalamna Market. Rohit Traders is our name. The market is a very loud and busy place, especially in the early mornings. There are trucks everywhere and people shouting prices. It’s a lot of energy. Our shop is just like the others around us. We have bags of goods stacked up high. The smell of chillies is everywhere. If you aren't used to it, it might make you sneeze. We spend our time talking to farmers and buyers. It’s a lot of haggling and checking quality. We don't have a computer on every desk. Most of our notes are written in ledgers. It’s an old-school way of doing things, but it works for us. We've been in Kalamna Market for years. We know all the other traders. Sometimes we share a tea while waiting for a shipment. It’s a tight-knit community. The floor is usually covered in dust and bits of spice. We sweep it out, but it never stays clean for long. That's just the nature of the market. We don't have a website or a social media page. If people want to buy from us, they just come to the shop. It’s simple. We stay busy during the season. When it’s quiet, we just sit out front and watch the world go by. It is just the way we like it.
