Rishi Children Hospital

Rishi Children Hospital is sitting right beside the Rangoli Collection in the Jasraj Complex at Duttawadi. You can usually spot us by the bright clothes hanging in the shop next door. The complex is a bit of a maze if you haven't been here before, but we are on a level that's pretty easy to access. Because it’s a place for kids, there is always some noise, whether it’s a baby crying or a toddler running down the hallway. We have a few old toys in a box in the corner, but most of them are missing pieces by now. The walls have some stickers of cartoon characters that are starting to peel at the edges. Our nurses usually wear plain scrubs and spend a lot of time organizing the medicine cabinets which always seem to get messy. The waiting area has blue benches that are a bit hard, so people often stand up and lean against the walls. We have a small clock on the wall that ticks quite loudly when the room is quiet, but it’s rarely quiet here. Outside, the street is usually busy with people shopping at the different stalls in the complex. We keep a few potted plants near the entrance, but they don’t get much sun. It’s a hectic place, but it’s just how our daily life is here in the middle of the local market area.
