Kilbil Child Clinic

Our clinic is located right in the middle of Surendra Nagar. If you live around here, you probably know the street already. It’s called Kilbil Child Clinic. We don’t have a big neon sign or anything like that, just a simple board so people know where to turn in. The neighborhood is mostly residential, so things are usually pretty steady throughout the day. Inside, there’s a small area where parents can sit while they wait. The chairs are a bit mismatched because we’ve added them one by one over the years. We keep a stack of old magazines on the table, mostly for the parents to flip through. The floor is made of old tiles that are easy to clean, which is important when you have kids running around all day. You can hear the sounds of the street outside—honking cars and people chatting—but once you close the door, it’s mostly just the sound of the ceiling fan overhead. We spend a lot of time organizing the patient cards by hand because we still like having things on paper. It’s a bit old-fashioned, but it works for us. The lighting isn't the brightest, but it gets the job done during the evening hours. There is a small shop next door that sells snacks and tea, and sometimes the smell of ginger tea drifts in. We’ve been in Surendra Nagar for quite a while now and most of the local families know the way here without looking at a map.
