We have been running this shop, number 41, over in Tapadiya Complex for many years now. It’s situated right by the Old Cotton Market, so there is always a lot of activity and traffic around our door. My brother and I manage the place ourselves. We have seen a lot of changes in the market over the decades. The complex itself can get very crowded in the afternoons, especially on the big market days when people come from all over. We sell a variety of things that folks need for their homes or for their own small businesses nearby. It gets a little bit dusty sometimes because of the older buildings and the market activity, but we try to keep our shop floor swept. We aren't doing anything very fancy or high-end here. It is just a regular business for regular people. Customers often stop by just to chat for a bit or to pick up what they need for the week. We know almost all the other shopkeepers in the complex. Sometimes we sit out front and have some tea when the customer flow slows down in the evening. We don’t bother with a website or any online stuff. If someone needs something, they know where we are and they just walk in. We try to keep a good amount of stock on the shelves so we don't run out. Sometimes the delivery trucks are late, which can be a bit frustrating. But that’s just how things go. We’re just here every day.
