Rai Krushivikas Farmer Producer Company Limited

Our group is called Rai Krushivikas Farmer Producer Company Limited and you can find us at House Number 373 in Nandtal-Bhivapur. We are a local bunch, mostly focused on the crops that do well here in the 441203 area. We started this because the old way of doing things—everyone for themselves—just wasn't working out anymore. It’s a lot easier to deal with the buyers and the suppliers when you have a bit of weight behind you. We aren't some big city firm with a lot of money; we are just working folks who have lived in Bhivapur our whole lives. Most of our day is spent out under the sun, checking on the rows and making sure the water is flowing where it should. We meet up at the house to talk about the business side of things, but even then, the conversation usually turns back to the land and the weather. We don't have any flashy brochures or a mission statement pinned to the wall. Our goal is just to keep the farms running and maybe make life a little less stressful for the people in our group. It’s hard work, and some years are better than others, but that’s just how farming goes. We’re proud of what we grow and we’re glad to be doing it together. If you’re ever passing through Nandtal, you’ll probably see us out there in the fields.
