R K Provision Store

We are located on the Main Road in Dargah Bazar, right by Nizam Gate and Lakhan Kothri. It is one of the busiest parts of town, especially being so close to the Dargah Thana. The shop is small and packed from floor to ceiling with sacks of flour, pulses, and all kinds of household things. We open up early in the morning, usually when the air is still a bit cool. There is always a lot of noise outside from the pilgrims and the local traffic. People stop by for small things, maybe a kilo of sugar or some tea leaves. We know most of our customers by name since they live just around the corner. It’s a lot of reaching for jars and weighing things out on the scale. The space is tight, so we have to be organized, though it might not look like it to an outsider. Sometimes it gets so crowded in the street that the delivery boys can't even get to the door. We just have to wait it out. We don't do any big marketing or anything fancy. We just stay open late and make sure we have what people need for their kitchens. It’s a lot of work, staying on your feet all day, but it’s what my family has always done. We just keep the books and serve the neighborhood as best as we can.
