We are located right inside the Kannamwar Commercial Complex in Umred. It’s a convenient spot because we’re right near the Union Bank, so people often drop in after they finish their business there. We’ve got shelves packed with everything from basic hammers to specific plumbing bits that people struggle to find elsewhere in Belgaon. It’s not a very big shop, so we have to use every inch of wall space for hanging tools. Sometimes it takes me a minute to find exactly where a specific size of screw is hidden, but I usually get there in the end. The complex is always humming with people coming and going from the different offices. We get a mix of professional builders who know exactly what they want and homeowners who aren't quite sure how to fix a leaky tap. I spend a lot of time explaining how a certain tool works or showing someone the difference between two types of drill bits. It’s a bit cramped behind the counter, especially when we have a new shipment sitting in the aisle waiting to be unpacked. We don’t do any fancy displays; we just put the stuff where it fits. It’s a steady way to spend the day, talking to the locals and making sure they have what they need for their repairs. The overhead lights flicker sometimes, but we’re used to the quirks of the building and the general noise of the complex.
