Prameel General Store

Prameel General Store is located over on West High Court in Nagpur. It is a busy area, so there is always something happening outside the door. We have been running this place for years. It is not a very large shop, but we make use of every inch of space we have. You will see sacks of flour near the entrance and jars of sweets on the main counter. We spend most of our day chatting with customers who have been coming to us since they were kids. Now they bring their own children. Nagpur gets really hot in the summer, so we keep the fridge stocked with cold water and sodas for anyone passing by. The shelves are wooden and a bit worn out now. We keep a notebook for some of our regular customers who pay at the end of the month. It is just the way we have always done things. We don't use computers much, mostly just pen and paper for the accounts. Sometimes we run out of something and have to wait for the distributor to come by next Tuesday. People understand how it is. We are just a local shop trying to provide what the neighborhood needs. It is steady work. We are here from morning until the street lights come on. It is just a regular part of the West High Court community and we like it that way.
