Prabhat Tara Farmers Producer Company Limited operates out of House Number 32 in Makardhokada, which is in the Umred area of Nagpur. We’ve been here for a while now, just working on getting the local farm produce moved and sold. It’s a small operation, mostly run by a few of us who know the local land well. We don't have any polished speeches or big marketing plans. Mostly, we just sit around the office at H. No. 32 and try to figure out the best way to handle the upcoming harvest. Nagpur can get pretty busy, and the roads out to Umred aren't always the fastest, but we make it work. We started this because we wanted a way to be more independent as farmers. It’s not always smooth sailing; sometimes we have issues with the weather or getting trucks on time. But we deal with it as it comes. We aren't a corporate entity with lots of rules; we just try to be fair and get the job done. People around here know us by name, and that’s how we like it. We focus on the practical stuff, like seeds, fertilizers, and getting the right price for the crops. It’s a lot of back-and-forth communication and physical labor. We just want to keep things going for the families involved in our company without adding any unnecessary stress or fancy talk that doesn't help.
