Novelty Provision

Novelty Provision is situated in the B Wing of the NIT Complex, specifically at B/8. We are right by Bhadant Anand Kousalyayan Medical Road, near Untkhana Chowk in Nagpur. This isn't a travel office like the others; we are a provision store. That means we spend our days surrounded by bags of rice, lentils, soaps, and all the other daily things people need for their homes. The NIT Complex is a pretty large building, and we are tucked in there serving the local families. It gets very busy in the evenings when everyone realizes they forgot to buy something for dinner. We don't have a lot of room for people to lounge around, it's more about coming in, getting what you need from the shelves, and heading back home. The shelves are usually packed tight and sometimes it's hard to find a specific brand of tea if we’ve had a busy morning. We try to keep everything stocked as well as we can. Being near Untkhana Chowk means we get a lot of foot traffic from people heading to the medical facilities nearby or just living in the apartments around here. It’s a simple, honest way to make a living. We know most of our regular customers by name and what they usually like to buy. It’s just a basic shop run by local people who understand what a kitchen needs to keep running. I usually spend some time in the morning sweeping the floor before the first customer comes in.
