We have been working out of Kalmana Market for quite a while now. Our shop is number 41 in the Mirchi Bazar area of Nagpur. It is a very busy place, especially in the mornings when the trucks arrive. Ngt Herbs And Spices Private Limited is basically just us in this small space surrounded by sacks of goods. Nagpur gets incredibly hot in the summer, which makes the work in the market pretty tough. We don't have any fancy air conditioning, just a few old fans that hum all day long. The air is always thick with the smell of dried chilies and various herbs. Sometimes it makes you sneeze, but you get used to it after a week or two. We spend most of our time sorting through stock and making sure the orders for the local vendors are ready. There is no corporate office with glass walls here. It is just a practical shop floor where we do the packing and weighing. The floor is concrete and often covered in a bit of spice dust. We don't really do big advertisements or anything like that. Most people find us just by walking through the bazar. It’s a simple way to run a business. We have our regulars who come by for a chat and to see what we have in stock. It is a lot of hard work, and my hands are usually tired by the evening. But we like the community here.
