Mukul Hindi School

If you walk through Mahdibagh Colony in Nagpur, you will find us at number 15. This is where Mukul Hindi School is located. It is a quiet part of Maharashtra, and our school fits right into the residential feel of the area. We have a few rooms dedicated to teaching Hindi to whoever wants to learn, from kids to adults. The walls are mostly bare except for some charts and maybe a calendar we hung up last year. We have wooden desks that have been around for quite a few years and they have some scratches on them. It is a simple setup because you don't need much to teach a language besides books and a place to sit and talk. The students come in at different times throughout the day, so there is usually a bit of a shuffle in the hallway every hour or so. We use the 440017 zip code for our mail, but mostly people just know us as the Hindi school on the corner of the block. It is not a big institution with hundreds of employees and fancy offices. It is just a few of us who know the language well and want to pass it on to the next generation. In the afternoons, the sun hits the front porch, and it is a nice place to sit for a minute. We don't do much advertising at all. Most people hear about us from their neighbors or friends. It is a peaceful way to spend the day.
