Mithali General Store

Working at Kirti Complex 4 puts us right in the middle of all the noise at Fawara Square. It is one of those parts of Itwari where the traffic never really seems to stop. We are sitting right across from Apex Medicos, so we get a lot of people coming over after they finish at the chemist. They usually want a bottle of water or maybe some lozenges. The shop isn't fancy, just a few rows of shelves filled with household items like washing powder, cooking oil, and snacks. I spend a lot of my time shifting boxes around to make space. The light in the back of the store is a bit dim, but we know where everything is kept. Nagpur gets really hot, so the cold drink fridge is always running loud in the corner. Sometimes the delivery guys struggle to find a place to park their bikes because the square is so packed with vehicles. We keep a ledger on the desk to track what we owe the distributors. It gets a bit chaotic during the evening rush when everyone is heading home and remembers they forgot to buy salt or sugar. We just try to keep things moving and make sure everyone gets their change back right. It is a simple life running a store in such a busy spot, but we have been doing it for a while now.
