Mahaveer Kirana & General Stores

Mahaveer Kirana & General Stores is tucked away at Girjapure House near Badkas Chowk in Nagpur. This part of the city, Ayachit Mandir, has a very old-school feel to it. Our shop has been around for a while now, and we have seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. We sell the usual kirana items like grains, oils, and packaged snacks that families need for their kitchens. It is a bit of a tight squeeze inside because we have so many bags and boxes piled up, but we know where everything is. The mornings are usually spent checking what we ran out of and calling the vendors. Nagpur summers are really something, so the shop stays a bit quiet during the middle of the day. Then once the sun starts going down, Badkas Chowk gets busy again. We have regular customers who have been coming to us since they were children. It is nice to have that kind of connection with the people living in Girjapure House and the nearby lanes. We do not have any fancy displays or bright lights. It is just a standard store with a counter and some shelves. We do our best to keep things simple and make sure nobody leaves without what they came for. Sometimes the delivery guys are late, which can be annoying, but we make it work somehow. That is just how the store runs for us every day in Nagpur - 440002. It's a busy life.
