Maa Bhavani Kirana & General Stores

Our shop is Maa Bhavani Kirana & General Stores. We are located at Plot No. 11 on the Manewada Ring Road. It’s a spot that sits right where several neighborhoods like Ladekar Layout, Tika Nagar, Ambika Nagar, and Ayodhya Nagar all meet. Because of that, we get a real mix of people coming in. The Ring Road is always noisy with trucks and cars, so there’s a lot of dust we have to wipe off the counters every morning. We keep a big variety of kirana items like different types of rice, dal, and oils. We also have general store things like notebooks for the kids and basic medicines. The shop is a bit of a labyrinth because we try to cram so much into the space we have. I’ve lived in this part of Nagpur most of my life, so I know a lot of the families around here. We don't have any fancy displays or bright lights. It's just wooden shelves and a heavy counter. Sometimes we run out of change, and we have to ask the customer if they have a smaller note. It’s all very informal. We don't have a big team, just me and my nephew helping out when he’s not at college. We open early and close late. It’s a lot of work but it keeps us going. We’re just a regular shop serving the people in this corner of the city.
