Loknayak Pashudhan Shetmal Producercompany Limited is based in Ramtek. We are located in the Ambala Ward, which is right near the Ambala Talav. Being near the lake is actually quite nice, especially when there is a bit of a breeze coming off the water in the afternoons. Ramtek is a quiet place compared to the big cities, and we like it that way. Most of our work involves pashudhan, which is the livestock, and shetmal, the farm produce. It is a lot of physical work and talking to the local people who bring their animals or their crops to us. Sunil’s place serves as our main hub for everything we do. We don't really have a big staff, just a few of us making sure the producer company runs like it is supposed to. Sometimes we sit near the ward office and talk about the local prices or how the season is looking for the farmers around here. The rain really changes everything around here; the whole area near the talav gets very green and the roads get a bit muddy. We just take it one day at a time, helping out where we can and keeping the records straight for the company. It is a simple life centered around the land and the animals. We aren't trying to be anything big or fancy. We just work.
