H L P Poultry Farm

We spend most of our time down here at 52/141 on Station Road in Kaulpet. It is usually pretty loud because of the birds and all the traffic going toward the train station. This poultry farm has been part of the local landscape for quite a while now. Some days are much longer than others, especially when the feed delivery truck comes late or the weather gets too hot for the chickens. We just keep things moving along as best as we can. There is a huge amount of cleaning to do every single morning to make sure the sheds stay decent. Most people in this neighborhood know where we are because of the smell or the sound of the transport vehicles. It isn't a fancy place by any means. The walls could definitely use a fresh coat of paint but that just is not the priority right now. We handle the eggs and the birds and try to stay on top of the orders that come in from the local market shops. Sometimes the front gate gets stuck because of the thick dust from the road. Working with livestock means there is no such thing as a weekend for us. We are usually out here before the sun is fully up. It is a messy and tiring job but it is what we do. The space is a bit cramped between the other old buildings on Station Road but we make it work. Just a regular farm trying to finish the daily chores.
