Laxminarayan Marketing is located at Shop No. 10 and 11 in the Itwari Anaj Bazar. This is right in the heart of the grain market in Itwari, and the Amar Deep Talkies is the big landmark nearby. If you have ever been to an anaj bazar, you know how it is. There are bags of grain, rice, and pulses piled up everywhere. The smell of raw grain is very strong here. Our shops are basically just large storage spaces with a small desk in the corner for doing the billing. It is very loud during the day with all the porters carrying heavy bags and the truck drivers shouting to get through the narrow lanes. We spend our days talking to farmers and other traders. It is a lot of physical work and a lot of talking. We have a small stove in the back to make tea because we drink it all day long. The market is very old, and the buildings show it. The walls are a bit cracked and the floors are uneven, but it has been this way for as long as I can remember. We do not use much technology here, just a basic phone and our record books. Most people we deal with have been coming here for twenty years, so we just know each other well. It is a chaotic place to work, but we are used to the noise and the dust. We just focus on getting the stock in and out as quickly as we can.
