L. N. Gupta Transport Company

L. N. Gupta Transport Company is situated right in Santra Market, near the Shanichara Motor Stand. If you've ever been to the district motor stand, you know how busy it gets with all the trucks and loaders. It’s a dusty place, especially when the wind picks up across the lot. Our office is small, just enough room for a couple of desks and a bench for drivers to sit on while they wait for their papers. There’s always a pot of tea going somewhere nearby. We deal with schedules, logbooks, and a lot of phone calls. You can hear the big diesel engines idling outside most of the day. It’s a rough and tumble kind of business, not really for someone who likes a quiet office. We’ve got maps on the wall that are starting to yellow at the edges, and the floor is always covered in a bit of grit from the market outside. We’ve been coordinating trips from this spot for quite a while now. We know the routes and we know the drivers. It’s about getting things from one point to another without too much fuss. Sometimes there are delays or the weather gets bad, and then the office gets even busier with everyone trying to figure out a new plan. It’s just how the transport life goes here at the motor stand. We stay until the last truck is sorted out for the night.
