If you head down Ghorpad Road in Kamptee, you’ll find us. Itm College Of Engineering Nagpur has been sitting here for quite a while now. It’s not like those big city campuses you see in movies. It’s a bit more grounded and quiet. The mornings start with buses arriving and students walking through the gates, usually looking a bit sleepy. We have the usual labs and classrooms, and they get pretty hot during the Nagpur summers. We try to keep things running smoothly, but there’s always a fan that needs fixing or a computer lab that’s acting up. The staff room is usually where the real planning happens over small cups of tea. We see a lot of students from the surrounding areas who come here to try and get their degrees. It’s a lot of work for them and for us too. During exam time, the whole atmosphere changes and everyone gets much quieter and more focused. We don’t have a massive budget for fancy things, so we make do with what we have and focus on the teaching part. The grounds are okay, though the grass turns brown pretty fast when the rain stops. It’s just a regular place for learning where people work hard and hope for the best. You’ll often see groups of students hanging out near the gate after classes are done for the day, just talking.
