Jaipur Bandhej Sarees

We are situated in Shop No. 19 of the Madhu Madhav Tower. This is right at Laxmi Bhavan Square in the Gokulpeth area of Nagpur. Jaipur Bandhej Sarees is the name on the board outside. The shop is filled with rows and rows of fabric, mostly stacked on wooden shelves that reach the ceiling. It is a bit of a squeeze when more than two people are inside. Gokulpeth is a lively market, and Laxmi Bhavan Square is always bustling with traffic and shoppers. We spend our days unfolding and folding sarees, making sure everything is in its right place. The lighting is bright so we can see the colors clearly. We have a small stool behind the counter where we sit when there are no customers. It gets really hot in Nagpur, so we have a couple of big fans going all the time. Sometimes the neighbors from the other shops in Madhu Madhav Tower come by to chat or borrow a pen. We do not have a website or anything like that; we just focus on the people who walk through the door. It is a simple way to run things. We have been at this location for quite some time, and we know the rhythms of the square. When the sun sets, the market lights come on, and we stay open until the last few people head home.
