Jai Bajrag General Store

Our store is over here in Nagpur, specifically in the Saoner Crining Presing area. It’s a bit of a working-class neighborhood, and we’ve been part of it for a while. Jai Bajrag General Store is just a name on a board, really, but for us, it’s where we spend all our time. We sell the usual things people need for their houses, like soap, tea leaves, some snacks for the kids, and basic kitchen supplies. The area around the pressing units can get quite busy during shift changes, so we see a lot of people then. It’s not a polished supermarket or anything. We have bags of rice and flour sitting on the floor and shelves that are probably a bit too high to reach easily. I spend most of my day sitting behind the counter, talking to the regulars about the weather or how things are going in the city. Nagpur summers are really something, so we try to keep the shop as cool as we can, though it’s hard with the door always open. We don’t do big advertisements. People just know we are here. Sometimes someone will come in for a single needle or a packet of biscuits, and that’s fine. It’s about being there for the small things. We stay open pretty late because you never know when someone might run out of sugar or matches. It's a modest life, but it keeps us busy every day of the week.
