Hari Om Kirana Stores

We are located in the Gurukripa Apartment building on Dr. Ambedkar Marg, right near Ashok Chowk here in Nagpur. Hari Om Kirana Stores is basically a family-run grocery shop. I’ve been running this place for quite a few years now. The space isn't very large, so we have boxes stacked up quite high to make room for everything we need to sell. We keep all the basic kitchen needs like spices, oil, soap, and different grains. Living in Nagpur, you get used to the heat, so we keep the shop shutters halfway down in the afternoons to stay a bit cool. Most of our customers are folks living in the nearby apartments or people passing through Ashok Chowk on their way home. I know most people by their names and what they usually buy every week. Sometimes I have to remind the delivery boys to be careful with the glass jars and the eggs. It’s a lot of work keeping track of what’s running out and what needs to be ordered for the next morning. We don’t use any fancy apps for orders, people just come in or call us. My brother helps me out during the evening rush when everyone is coming back from work and school. We try to stock the brands that people local to this area prefer. It’s a simple life. We don’t have any big signs or bright lights and we like it that way.
