Saboo Collections

Saboo Collections is located at No. 197-199 in the Handloom Market. We are right opposite the Gandhibagh Garden. It is a nice view to have when we get a moment to look out the front windows. The market is an old place, and it is always full of people looking for specific types of fabric. We deal mostly with handloom items here. You can really feel the texture of the weave when you run your hand over the cloth. We have these big wooden shelves that go all the way up to the high ceiling. I usually have to use a shaky ladder to get the stuff down from the top. My back hurts sometimes from climbing up and down all day long. We have been in this exact spot for many years. The floor is made of old stone and it has seen a lot of foot traffic over the decades. We do not have air conditioning, just a couple of big ceiling fans that hum and rattle all day long. We know most of the other shopkeepers around here and we often share a pot of tea or a quick snack. It is a real community in the market. We do not do any big advertising. People just find us because they know this area well. We spend our time checking the quality of the weaves. If we find a loose thread, we fix it ourselves.
