Gavathi Agro Producer Company Limited

Our office is located at 2/132, Raghuji Nagar in the Manewada area of Nagpur. It’s a bit of an urban spot for something called Gavathi Agro Producer Company Limited, but we like being where the city meets the more rural outskirts. "Gavathi" means something from the village, and that’s the spirit we try to keep even though we’re in Nagpur-440009. We’re a small team, and our space is pretty cramped with all the paperwork and samples we keep around. Nagpur is known for its oranges, of course, but we look at all sorts of agro products coming in from the surrounding districts. The traffic in Manewada can be a bit much sometimes, but it’s a good place to be because we can reach the farmers and the city markets easily. We don’t have a big mission statement on the wall or anything like that. We just focus on the logistics of getting produce from the farm to the people who need it. It’s a lot of phone calls, a lot of checking on trucks, and a fair amount of stress when things don't arrive on time. We’re just regular people trying to bridge that gap. We drink way too much chai and the fan in the office makes a weird clicking sound, but it’s our place and we’ve been doing this for a while now. It gets busy, and sometimes the paperwork piles up, but we get through it eventually.
