G S General Store

You can find G S General Store on Timki Bazar Road in the Hansapuri area of Nagpur. We are at Shop No 20, which is very close to the Juna Masjid. Being near the mosque means there is always a lot of movement and people around, which is good for our business. My father was the one who started this shop many years ago, and I have just kept it going. We sell a variety of general items that people might need suddenly. This includes things like light bulbs, basic stationery, snacks, and some toiletries. The shop looks a bit old-fashioned with its wooden counters and high shelves, but it works for us. It is a busy street and sometimes the noise from the market outside is quite loud. We don't have any modern computer systems or fancy barcode scanners here. We just know the prices and do the math on a piece of paper or a small calculator. It is a very direct way of doing business. We see the same faces every day and we have watched many of the neighborhood kids grow up. Some of them now come in to buy things for their own homes. It is a tight-knit community here in Hansapuri. We just try to keep the shop stocked with the basics so that nobody has to go too far to find what they need for their home. It is a honest living. We keep the shop open as long as there are people on the street.
