Our shop is number 14 in Building 3 of the Vidharbha Primiar Co Oprative Society. We are located just off Shukrawari Talav, and the Empress Mall is quite close by, which makes it a very recognizable spot in Nagpur. Being near the lake is nice, though we spend most of our time inside looking at cargo manifests and travel documents. It’s a busy little corner of the building. We handle both people traveling and goods being sent as cargo, so the work is always a bit mixed up. One minute we are booking a flight for a family, and the next we are weighing a box or filling out shipping forms. The office is a bit crowded with all the equipment and papers, but we know where everything is. People often stop by on their way to the mall or after a walk by the lake. It is a casual environment here. We don't wear uniforms or have a big reception area. You just come in, pull up a stool, and tell us what you need. Sometimes the cooperative society building gets a bit noisy with all the other shops around, but we don't mind. It feels like being part of the local community. We just keep our heads down and make sure the cargo gets on the right plane and the travelers have their passports ready. It is just everyday work for us here near the Talav.
