You can find Esha Eco Friendly Bags on the second floor at No. 308 in Laxmi Nagar. We are right opposite Gyan Kirana Stores, which everyone around here knows. I decided to focus on eco-friendly bags because it seemed like a good idea with all the talk about the environment. Our workshop is on the second floor, so we have to carry everything up and down the stairs. It is a bit of a workout. Inside, it’s mostly sewing machines and stacks of cloth. I spend my time supervising the work and checking the quality of the bags we make. They are simple bags, meant for grocery shopping or carrying things around. We use materials that aren't plastic. The space is a bit loud when all the machines are running at once. Laxmi Nagar is a busy residential spot, so we get locals popping in to see what we have. I’m usually busy with a tape measure or a ledger. It isn't a glamorous job, and the floor is usually covered in thread snips. But it’s my business and I’m proud of it. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything like that. We just make the bags and sell them to whoever needs them. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to wait, but that’s just part of working here. It is a humble place doing simple work.
