Durga Kirana & General Store

If you are coming down Mehandibagh Road in Itwari, you will find our shop tucked away near the Lalganj Police Chowki. It is a busy part of Nagpur and there is always something happening outside. We open up early because the tea stalls nearby need things, and people are starting their day. Our store is full of all sorts of kirana items. We have bins of grains and rows of bottled oils and soaps. It stays dusty sometimes because of the traffic on the road, but we do our best to keep things clean. People from the nearby houses come in for their monthly supplies or just to pick up a single packet of biscuits. It is not a big supermarket, just a local store where we know many of the faces who walk in through the door. Sometimes the police from the chowki come over for a water bottle or a quick chat. It gets quite loud with the horns and the rickshaws, especially in the evenings. We manage to fit a lot of stuff into a small space, so you might have to wait a second while I find exactly what you need from the back shelf. We do not have any big signs or bright lights, just the usual goods that families here use every day. It is just how things have always been here in this part of the city for a long time now.
