Ramtek is a beautiful area, but farming in Chacher has its own set of challenges. Dattaprabhu Farmer Producer Company Limited is located at Vasanta Mahadeo Badole’s house in Ward No 03. If you come by H.No 626, you’ll likely see a few of us sitting on the porch talking about the latest crop cycles. We are just a group of local people who decided that we’d be better off working as one unit instead of dozens of small ones. The work is mostly manual, and our office is just a place to keep the registers and talk strategy. We don't have any big slogans or marketing plans. Our days are filled with checking the fields, making sure the supplies arrived on time, and trying to find the best way to get our goods to the city. It’s dusty work and can be very tiring, especially when the heat is at its worst. Vasanta’s place is easy to find, and there’s always someone around to chat about the local agricultural scene. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to make sure the farmers in our ward get a fair shake. Sometimes we make mistakes, and things don’t always go according to plan, but we just keep moving forward. It’s a very local, very practical way of living and working that keeps us all connected to the land here in Ramtek.
