Ishita International

Ishita International is situated out at B-4/25 in the MIDC Butibori area. It’s quite a drive from the city, but this is where all the industrial action happens. Our unit is basically a large shed with a small office partitioned off in the front. It’s not a glamorous place to work. There’s always the smell of diesel and the sound of trucks reversing in the yard. We deal with a lot of international shipping, so we spend a lot of time checking labels and weighing crates. The floor is concrete and usually has some scuff marks from the pallet jacks. We’ve been here for a good while and have gotten used to the rhythm of the industrial estate. In the summer, it gets incredibly hot inside, so we have these big industrial fans that make a lot of noise. We don’t have a fancy reception area or anything like that. If you come to see us, you’ll probably find us in the back checking on the stock. We carry around clipboards and pens that always seem to run out of ink. Lunch is usually whatever we brought from home, eaten quickly before the next truck arrives. It’s a tough, honest environment. We don’t use fancy words to describe what we do. We just make sure the goods get where they need to go. It’s just how things work out here in Butibori for all of us.
