You can find us at A/P-Mangle in the Shirala Taluka of Sangli district. This is a rural area, very different from the big city offices. We are surrounded by farmland and small villages. Our office is a simple building that serves as the hub for cement distribution in this part of the district. It’s a quiet place most of the time, except when the tractors and small trucks come by to pick up their loads. We spend a lot of time talking to local farmers and small-scale builders who are working on their own properties. The pace of life here is a bit slower, but the work is still hard. We deal with the challenges of rural roads and the monsoon rains that can make transport difficult. The office doesn't have much in the way of decoration. Just some old furniture and a lot of registers. We know most of our customers by name because they live just down the road or in the next village over. We don’t bother with marketing or big slogans. We just provide what’s needed for the local construction. Sometimes we have to go out to the sites ourselves to check on things. It’s a very hands-on job. We have our tea together in the afternoon and talk about the local news. It’s a humble setup, but it’s where we get things done every day for the people of Shirala.
