Vishnu House is an old building and we have been operating Alutech Metal Craft from here for quite some time. We are situated in the 2nd Lane of Jalalpura, right on the Police Naka Road. If you go behind Chitnis Park in the Mahal area, you will find us easily enough. Our space is filled with the sound of metal being worked on. It’s not the quietest place to spend a day. We have various machines for bending and shaping metal, and they take up most of the room in the Khandelwal building section we occupy. There’s always a bit of dust in the air and the smell of oil. We don't bother with fancy decorations or a reception area. Most of our day is spent looking at blueprints or marking out sheets of metal for cutting. It’s a lot of physical work and your hands are rarely clean by the time lunch rolls around. The neighborhood is quite old and the lanes are narrow, so getting materials in and out can be a bit of a puzzle sometimes. We just focus on the craft itself. We aren't a big corporation with hundreds of employees. It's just a group of us who know how to handle metal. We take the work as it comes and try to stay organized, even when the shop gets cluttered with half-finished pieces. It's just a local Mahal business trying to do things properly. We’ve been here long enough that the noise is just part of the background.
