Over here in Nagpur, we are set up in the Dupare Layout. It’s a decent area, not too far from the main parts of the city. The weather in Nagpur is something you have to experience to understand—the summer heat is no joke. Our office isn't anything special to look at. It’s a practical space where we handle the local affairs for Hindalco. We spend our days tracking orders and making sure the local distribution is on track. It’s mostly just a few of us in the office. We don't have a reception desk or a canteen. Most of us bring our own lunch or go to the small place around the corner. The pace of work is steady, but we don't rush things unnecessarily. We’ve got a lot of files and old records stacked up. It feels like a place where real work happens. We talk to the truck drivers and the warehouse guys more than we talk to executives. It’s a straightforward environment. No one wears a suit here. We just wear what’s comfortable for the heat and get on with the day. Sometimes we stay late when there’s a big shipment coming in, but usually, we head home as the sun starts to go down. It’s a simple, honest way to make a living in this city.
