Aaditya General Store

Aaditya General Store is tucked away in Binaki Layout, over in the Anand Nagar and Vaishali Nagar side of Nagpur. We are right opposite Nikunj Vidhyalay, which means we see a lot of students and parents throughout the day. It is a pretty quiet neighborhood compared to the main city center, which is nice most of the time. We sell all the usual things you would expect from a general store, like pens, notebooks for the kids, and household stuff for the parents. The shop has been here for a bit, and we’ve seen the kids from the school grow up and eventually bring their own kids here. It makes you feel a bit old, but it is good to be part of the community. We don't really have a fancy setup or bright neon lights. It is just a simple shop with wooden shelves and a counter that has seen a lot of use over the years. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to sit by the door to catch the light, but the regulars still find their way in. We try to keep the stock fresh and listen to what the neighbors say they are looking for. Living and working in the same area means you never really stop being "the shop guy," even when you are just walking home for lunch. It is a basic life, but we like it here in our corner of Nagpur.
