Tip Top Majestic

Tip Top Majestic is sitting right at No:29 on Melarathaveethi, just off Balamore Road. It is a busy corner of the world, and there is always noise from the traffic passing by. We have been operating out of this spot for a long time, and the building shows its age a little bit. Inside, it is filled with all sorts of things that people need for their daily lives. We do not go in for anything too decorative or polished. The shelves are wooden and look like they have seen a lot of use over the years. We try to keep things in some kind of order, but when it gets busy in the afternoons, it is hard to stay on top of it. You might find a bit of a mess here and there, but that is just how it goes when you are working. The air inside can get a little warm in the summer because the ceiling fans are quite old and do not spin as fast as they used to. Most of the people who come in are regulars who live nearby. They know where everything is almost as well as we do. We spend a lot of time just chatting with customers while we bag things up. It is a local place, nothing like those big malls you see popping up elsewhere. We open up early and stay until the sun goes down, just doing our thing.
