Popular Concrete Bricks

We spend most of our time at 8A, Parvathipuram, on Kp Road. Making bricks is heavy work and it’s what we do day in and day out. The yard is filled with rows of concrete blocks drying in the sun. It’s a messy business, but someone has to do it if people want to build houses. We’ve got the machines running for most of the morning and the noise becomes like background music after a while. We aren’t a huge factory, just a local setup where we focus on getting the mix right. You can see the dust on our clothes by the time we head home. Kp Road stays busy, so we see a lot of people passing by our gates. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. People just hear about us from their neighbors or see our sign when they’re driving through Parvathipuram. Sometimes the supply of cement is late, and we have to shuffle the schedule around, which is a bit of a headache. The workers have been with us for a long time, so we all know how the routine goes. It’s honest work. We sit in the small shed to have our lunch and talk about the news or the cricket scores. It’s nothing special, just a small business making concrete bricks for the local builders. We hope to stay here for a long time because the community is good to us. It gets tiring when the heat is high, but we just drink some water and keep moving.
