Maha Bricks

Started up Maha Bricks a few years back on Thengapattanam-Karungal Rd. We are at No:20/37, which is a spot people pass by often. It’s a basic brickyard, nothing fancy to look at. We spend our days mixing clay and getting the molds ready. The heat around the kiln is something you never quite get used to, but it’s part of the job. Most of the time, we are just trying to keep up with the orders from local folks building houses in the area. The rain is our biggest enemy because it stops everything from drying. When that happens, we just wait it out and do maintenance on the yard. It's a lot of physical work, lifting heavy stacks and loading trucks. We don't have a big marketing team or a polished office. It’s just a small group of us here doing the work. You can usually find me near the back where we keep the finished piles. Sometimes a truck breaks down or the material delivery is late, which throws a wrench in the day. We just take it as it comes. People know where we are if they need bricks for a wall or a new room. We don't promise anything impossible, just that we will have the bricks ready when we say we will. It’s a simple business built on hard work and sweat. The road out front is always busy, but we just keep our heads down and focus on the bricks.
