Chaudhry Hardware

We are located in Shankwas, right in the heart of Jagdamba Market. Our shop is very close to the Purana Bus Stand, so there is always a lot of activity right outside our door. Chaudhry Hardware has been a part of this market for a good while. We stock all the usual things you would expect, like nails, hammers, pipes, and different kinds of tools. The shop is packed from floor to ceiling, and sometimes it takes a minute to find exactly what someone is asking for. We don't have a computer system to tell us where everything is; we just know because we put it there. The market is a loud place with vendors shouting and bikes honking, but we’ve grown used to it over the years. We spend a lot of our time talking to farmers and local builders who need supplies for their projects. It’s a dusty job, handling bags of cement or heavy iron rods, but it keeps us active. There’s a small tea stall just across from us where we get our morning chai. Most of the people who come in are friends we’ve known for years. We don't have fancy displays or bright lights. It’s just a regular hardware store where you can get what you need for a fair price and go on with your day. We lock up the shutters when it gets dark and head home.
