Veda High School

We’ve been running Veda High School right here on Market Road for a long time now. It’s a busy spot in Kosgi, especially in the mornings when the buses pull up and parents are dropping off their kids on scooters. You can hear the noise from the market all day, but we’re used to it. The building isn’t anything fancy, just a solid place where kids from all over Mahabubnagar come to sit in class and hopefully learn something useful. Our teachers are mostly local folks who have stayed with us for years. They know the families and they know which kids are likely to cause a bit of trouble in the back row. We spend a lot of time just keeping things organized, making sure the bells ring on time and the chalk is replaced. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons, so we try to keep the fans going as much as the power allows. It’s not a quiet life, but it’s what we do. People around here know where to find us if they have questions about their children’s grades or just want to see how things are going. We don’t have a big office or anything, usually just a desk in the main hall. It’s a bit dusty sometimes with the traffic outside, but that’s just how it is on Market Road. We just keep showing up and doing the work.
