Sri Radha Krishna Brick Works

You can find us at No:1 in Neppathur Village, which is part of the Sirkali Taluk area. Making bricks is the main thing we do here. The soil in this part of the village is actually quite good for it, which is why we stayed. It is a lot of manual labor, and most of it happens out in the open sun. We have our kilns set up and they stay hot for days at a time during the burning process. It is a family-run kind of operation. My father was the one who started it, and now we just keep the tradition going. There is usually a lot of smoke and red dust in the air, so it is not the cleanest place to work. We do not have a showroom or a front desk. Most of our business happens right out in the yard near the brick stacks. We sell to locals who are building their own homes and to some larger projects in the taluk. The weather is a big deal for us because if it rains too much, we cannot dry the bricks and everything has to stop. That is just the way it goes with this kind of work. We try to stay ahead of the orders we get, but it is not always easy. The workers all live nearby, so it is a truly local operation. We use the old ways that still work fine today.
