Saosis Biotech Private Limited

Down here in Nagapattinam, things move a bit slower, which suits us just fine. We’re over in Thiripura Sundhari Nagar in the Thenbathy area. Saosis Biotech sounds like a big fancy name, but really it’s just a small group of us working in a quiet building. We spend a lot of time looking at things under microscopes or checking on our different experiments. The lab isn't huge, and things tend to get cluttered with glass jars and notebooks. We have a small yard out back where we grow some plants for testing. Sometimes the salt air from the coast makes the equipment act up, so we’re always cleaning things. It’s quiet work, mostly. We don’t have many visitors except for the occasional delivery guy who gets lost looking for the street. We usually have a pot of coffee going in the corner, though it’s usually burnt by mid-afternoon. None of us are great at the business side of things; we just like the science part. We write everything down in these thick ledgers because it feels more reliable than the computer sometimes. Nagapattinam is a nice place to live, even if it gets incredibly humid in the summer. We just open the windows and hope for a breeze while we go about our tests. It’s a decent way to spend the day, doing work that feels like it might actually help someone eventually.
