Evertec

Evertec is just a small place at No:111 on Neela South Street. It’s an old building and the windows don't close all the way, so we get a bit of a breeze in the winter. The street itself is mostly residential with a few shops scattered here and there. We do technical repairs and some assembly work. It’s just a couple of us here most days. We have a big metal table where we do most of the heavy work. It’s got scratches and marks from years of use. We don't have a lot of customers walking in off the street; most people call us first. The floor is concrete and stays cool even when it's boiling outside. We have a small fridge for water and the occasional soda. Neela South Street is famous for its quiet atmosphere, which we appreciate. You can hear the birds in the trees outside. Sometimes we take our chairs out to the sidewalk for a bit of sun during the lunch break. We don't have any fancy marketing or a big website. People just know we are here and what we do. It’s a steady life. We keep the shop open until six, then we lock up and head home. The lock on the front door is a bit temperamental, so you have to jiggle the key just right to get it to turn. That is our daily routine.
