Sital Bhander

Sital Bhander is located right on Thana Road here in Dist. Nagaon. It’s a place where we spend most of our daylight hours. The road outside is usually quite noisy with rickshaws and people going about their business. We don't have a fancy setup, just a regular shop floor with items stacked where they fit. You’ll find us sitting near the entrance most days, especially when the weather in Nagaon gets a bit too humid to stay inside the back room. We have been in this spot for a while now. It’s just how things are. People from the neighborhood stop by, sometimes just to say hello or to pick up something they forgot they needed. The shelves are mostly full, though sometimes we run low on things when the trucks are late coming down Thana Road. We don’t really do much advertising or anything like that. If you live around here, you probably already know where we are. It’s a simple life running a bhander. We open up in the morning, sweep the front bit of the street, and wait for the day to start. There’s always some dust coming in from the road, so we spend a lot of time wiping things down. It’s not a big corporate operation, just a few of us making sure things keep moving along. If you’re passing by the Thana area, you’ll see our sign. It’s nothing special, just Sital Bhander, standing there like it always has.
