Raktim Bora

I am Raktim Bora, and this place is basically run out of Mr. Arun Ch. Bora’s house in Fauzdari Patty. We are situated in Nagaon, Assam, which is a place that feels smaller than it actually is because everyone knows everyone else's business. Fauzdari Patty is a well-known area here, so finding the address isn't too hard if you ask any rickshaw driver. I have been working out of this location for a while now. The building is an older one, with high ceilings and that specific smell of old paper and the dampness that comes with the Assam rain. Most days start with a cup of tea and then we get right into the tasks at hand. It is not a flashy setup by any means. We have a few desks, some chairs that have seen better days, and a lot of folders stacked up. Sometimes the power goes out, which is just part of living in Nagaon, so we have to plan our work around the outages. It gets very humid here during the monsoon months, which can make working a bit of a chore. We handle things as they come and try not to get too stressed about the small stuff. It is just me and a couple of others helping out when needed. We don't have a big team or fancy titles. We just do the work that needs doing to keep things moving forward. It's a steady life here.
