If you ask anyone where Globe Cinema used to be, they’ll point you right to us. Keshavlal Mangubhai Co. is tucked away behind where the old cinema stands. It’s an old part of town, and our building has the kind of character you only get with time. We’ve been here for generations, really. The business is mostly about tradition and keeping things moving. We handle a variety of goods, and the warehouse space behind the office is usually packed to the ceiling. It’s a bit dusty, and the floorboards creak, but it’s home to us. Being behind Globe Cinema is our unofficial address because that’s how everyone finds us. The streets around here are narrow and always full of carts and bikes. It gets pretty chaotic during the festival seasons, but we just keep the doors open. We aren't looking to change much about how we work. We like the old ways of doing things, like writing in paper books and shaking hands on a deal. Our staff is mostly people who have grown up in this neighborhood. We know the history of every shop nearby. It’s a slow-paced kind of place in a fast-moving world. We’re just happy to keep the family name going and serve the people who have been coming to us for decades. It’s a simple, honest life here.
