You can find Jayesh K Shah Chartered Accountants on the second floor of Prime Centre. We occupy units 7 and 8A. Prime Centre is located in the Desai Vago area of Nadiad, which is a fairly easy place to get to. Being up on the second floor means we have a bit of a view of the street, though mostly we are looking at our computer screens. The elevator in the building is often a bit slow, so we usually just take the stairs. The office is split into two sections, which gives us a bit of room to spread out our files. It’s a basic setup, really. We have a few desks, some filing cabinets that are getting a bit full, and a table for meetings. We handle things like income tax filings and company audits. It’s the kind of work that requires a lot of patience and a lot of tea. Jayesh has been doing this for years, and he’s seen just about every kind of accounting problem you can imagine. We don’t pretend to be some big city firm with shiny windows. We’re just local people helping other local people with their finances. The building can be a bit quiet in the mornings, but it picks up by noon. We usually have the radio on low in the background while we work. It’s a practical, no-nonsense environment where we focus on getting the spreadsheets right and making sure everyone’s paperwork is submitted on time.
